Both the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB/Ohio) have announced they are backing Manning, who is seeking his second term to the 55th Ohio House District, which includes portions of Lorain County. The Ohio Chamber of Commerce represents more than 8,000 members across the state to champion pro-business policies that foster economic growth. NFIB/Ohio also promotes free enterprise issues to help its more than 25,000 member businesses.
“As a small business owner myself, the support of the NFIB and the Chamber means a lot,” Manning said. “I will continue to serve as a voice for Lorain County’s small businesses in the Statehouse.”
During his first term in office, Manning supported several pieces of legislation that will help grow Ohio’s economy, including voting to reduce income tax rates for families and small business owners, as well as to lower fees for entrepreneurs looking to create new businesses. He also sponsored legislation that simplifies the process for farmers’ markets to sell wine samples of local wineries, which helps these small businesses in the area.
A lifelong resident of the county, Manning currently owns the law firm Manning & Manning in North Ridgeville with his sister, Allison. He also previously served as a prosecutor for the City of North Ridgeville.
