Representative Tim Ginter is serving his second term as state representative for the 5th Ohio House District, which encompasses all of Columbiana County. He currently serves as chair of the Community and Family Advancement Committee, as well as chair of the Advisory Board of the Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives.
Representative Ginter has a broad background of work experience as a machinist, director of development and vice-president of marketing with an IT company, and has been an ordained minister for 37 years during which time he has pastored five different churches. He received his education at Mount Vernon Nazarene University and Nazarene Bible College.
He is a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau, National Rifle Association, Buckeye Firearms Association, Salem Chamber of Commerce, an associate member of the Columbiana County Township Association, a member of the Columbiana County Republican Party Central Committee, and currently serves as an appointed member of the Ohio Commission on Fatherhood.
Representative Ginter lives in Salem with his wife of 37 years, Pam. They have one daughter, Angie, who lives in Florida with her husband and their three grandchildren, Skyler, Tagg and Zoe.
