Why I Am Running
My grandmother worked as a seamstress in a factory. My grandfather was an Irish Immigrant who became a successful businessman. To both of them, America was the land of opportunity and freedom.
Growing up, I learned the spirit of service, love of God and love of country from my family, who inspired me to seek admission to West Point and to serve our nation’s military. I was taught that we need to give back to our community and to our country.
That spirit of service has guided me for the past nine years as a member of Marysville City Council. I am also passionate about living my faith and volunteering at both my church and within our local school district. With our current state representative, Dorothy Pelanda, not running for re-election, I have been humbled by the outpouring of encouragement I have received to run for the Ohio House of Representatives.
I am running for state representative to serve our community in Columbus because I care. I want to be the one you know and trust to be your voice, a responsible voice, on the issues that matter most to you. Working respectfully with others to find good solutions to tough problems is a priority for me. I pledge to listen, to work hard and to serve with honor and integrity.
